Marcellus Barksdale knows all about investing in his development. After graduating from IUPUI where the swingman ranks second all-time in games played (134) and among the all-time leaders in games started (95), Barksdale spent the summer training, developing and competing at our Scorers 1st Showcase in Las Vegas. It was an opportunity to play against overseas pros and get a taste of what it takes to make it overseas. But nothing could prepare him for the reality of now playing in ProB Germany.

Morning, noon, and night, this phrase spins around my mind like a tune on a vinyl record with a scratch in the perfect spot-- your favorite lyrics from your favorite song, over and over.
I'm one month into my new journey and I still can't get enough of this song. The type of song that always fits regardless of the situation. When I'm happy I sing it joyfully and when I'm frustrated or indifferent I still make my lips mumble along. Nonetheless, this simple track has shaped and molded my mental playlist and has me dancing fearlessly into my new reality.

Criticism is something that can either make you or break you. You can either use criticism positively or you can have it effect you in a negative way.
We need criticism in order to grow and get better in life. Growing up, I dreamed of being able to play basketball professionally. In High school I would go to open gyms in the summer and play against many guys who were making a living playing in other countries. After every open gym I made it a goal to stay in contact with these players and ask personally what I need to do to make it to that level.
