Scorers 1st Sportmanagement in correlation with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers announce the signing of Tim Ohlbrecht to the Houston Rockets D-League affiliate.
This marks Ohlbrecht’s return to the D-League and second stint with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, where the 7-foot, 255 pound power forward/center helped the organization capture a D-League Championship in 2013.
"Tim proved last season through his dedication to the game, that hard works pays off. We saw that at the D-League Showcase, D-League All-Star Game and as he received a call-up to the Houston Rockets," said
said Scorers 1st CEO and NBA and FIBA certified agent Gerrit Kersten-Thiele.
"We are excited for Tim's upcoming season in the D-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and we wish him and the Vipers a successful 2013-14 season."
Patrick Ewing Jr. has competed at the highest levels and around the world. From the NBA, to D-League to playing overseas, Ewing Jr. is now experiencing a career-season this season in Greece with Trikala BC.
Despite their place in the standings (2-5), Ewing Jr. has helped Trikala on both ends of the floor and most recently led the team to a big win by knocking off 4th ranked POAK. The former Georgetown Hoya posted his third double-double on the season (7 games): 22 points (9-13), 12 rebounds and 2 steals in the win.
On the season, he ranks 5th in the league in rebounding (8.4), while averaging 12.1 points per game and putting up season-highs of 22 points and 14 rebounds on the season.
Trikala will face 5th ranked AGOR next, as Patrick Ewing Jr. looks to continue his strong start to the season.

The Canton Charge of the D-League have announced their 2013-14 training camp roster, which will include Scorers 1st own Travis Franklin.
Franklin returns to the Charge for his third year after averaging 7.3 points and 2 rebounds per game in 45 appearances last season.
Drafted by the Canton Charge with the second pick of the sixth round (81st overall pick) of the 2011 NBA D-League Draft, Franklin's best game of the season last year included posting a season-high 18 points in 23 minutes in a 108-83 win over the Maine Red Claws.
