This is just the start of good things to come for Danilo Barthel.
After a breakout start to the 2013-14 season in the BEKO BBL, Barthel has earned AllStar honors after being named as a reserve for Team National in the BEKO BBL AllStar Game the league announced today.
"Having Danilo be named to the AllStar team is a true testament to the dedication and drive he has toward his profession," said Scorers 1st CEO and NBA and FIBA certified agent Gerrit Kersten-Thiele.
"We couldn't be more proud of him and we look forward to watching him grow as an AllStar."
At 22-years old, Barthel has already been recognized as one of the young players dubbed, "the next Generation in Germany".
The power forward/center for the Fraport Skyliners leads Frankfurt in FG% at 64.6% and is averaging 11.8 points and 5 rebounds per game. Barthel also owns season-highs of 18 points and 10 rebounds.
While this is Danilo Barthel's first AllStar Game selection in the BEKO BBL, it is certainly not his last.
