First as always I will like to thank the man upstairs for giving me the chance to reflect, and share my journey with you all.
What's up? This season playing in France has been a great year so far. I am enjoying my first pro experience in Europe a lot -- the village of Gries is really excited for our upcoming games and our huge French Cup opportunity as we move closer to the end of the season.
First as always I will like to thank the man upstairs for giving me the chance to reflect, and share my journey with you all. After a great holiday spent with family, and friends back home I am now back to business. Since arriving back in France two weeks ago, I have played in two very important games.
One was the first round of the French Cup vs. a young strong SIG team, and the second was an intense road game against a very competitive Tourcoing team. We came out victories in both games, which is huge for us being that we are in a great possession to reach our club goals. We now stand at 10-5, which puts us in 3rd place in our championship division. Playing in the French cup gives us the opportunity to earn points towards our division, in which we can neglect up to two loses if we win. Minus two loses towards our record will then put us in 1st in our division. These are all elements that we know as a team, which does not add any pressure but motivates us. After starting off rocky, our team has now found an identity and rhythm.
We are looking forward to building on this energy throughout the remainder of the season. We have a great group of guys who get along well, therefore I am confident we can prevail through future adversity.
First as always, I would like to thank the Lord for giving me the ability to live out my dream. It has been a month since I last checked in with you guys, in between my happiness has stayed consistent.
Everyday brings different challenges, which I have learned to embrace with a positive attitude. Being a professional athlete comes with a lot of ups, and downs. Nevertheless your approach, focus, attitude, and goals should never fluctuate. Maintaining these vital personal attributions is not always the easiest thing to do, especially when you are a very passionate person. However, focusing on these characteristics bring an extreme balance to your mental stability and daily life.
Bonjour mes amis,
As always, I would first like to thank the man upstairs for giving me the strength to live out my dreams.
Overall, life here in France has progressively been getting better day-by-day. I am now extremely comfortable with my teammates, basketball system, language development, living situation, and the whole culture here in Alsace. It has been a total learning experience; nevertheless, I have approached life on and off the court as an opportunity to grow as a professional.
