Scorers 1st is very proud to announce Tim Ohlbrecht has joined the Detroit Pistons as part of their 2014 Orlando Summer League roster, and at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas with the Denver Nuggets.
At 6-foot-11, Ohlbrecht has developed into a hard-working big man who won his second-straight NBA D-League Championship in 2013-14 as a member of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. While helping the Rio Grande Valley capture their D-League title in 2012-13, Ohlbrecht earned a call-up with the Houston Rockets.
“Tim has achieved much success around the game and has dedicated himself toward training and his overall development. Everyone at Scorers 1st is excited for Tim and the chance to compete in Summer League,” said Scorers 1st CEO and NBA and FIBA certified agent Gerrit Kersten-Thiele.

Ohlbrecht averaged 12.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game (58% from the field, 23 minutes per game) and received All-NBA D-League Honorable Mention honors in 2013-14.
Possessing Euroleague, EuroCup, BEKO BBL and German National Team experience, the the Wuppertal, Germany native has spent the offseason in San Antonio where Ohlbrect is training with famed shooting coach David Jones at Shooting For Success, while also participating in multiple NBA mini-camps.
The Orlando Magic will host the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League at the team’s practice court at the Amway Center from July 5-11, 2014. The 25-game, seven-day event will feature the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers. Each team will play five games over the seven-day event, with a championship day being played on the final day of the league.
The New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks will tip off Samsung NBA Summer League on July 11 in the first of 67 games to be played in the 11-day event at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
For the second consecutive year, the event will feature a tournament-style schedule, culminating in the crowning of the Samsung NBA Summer League 2014 Champion on Monday, July 21. Each team will play three games apiece between July 11 and 15 before being seeded in the tournament, which tips off on July 16 and runs through the Championship Game on July 21. Each team will play no fewer than five games during Samsung NBA Summer League 2014.
