Ewing Jr. Signs In Greece With Trikala

Scorers 1st Sportmanagement is very proud to announce Patrick Ewing Jr. has reached an agreement to play for Trikala in Division A1 Greece for the 2013-14 season.

Ewing is coming off an extremely busy summer that saw the versatile 6-foot-8, 237 lbs. forward worked out diligently at The Skills Factory in Atlanta, Georgia, compete in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League with the Charlotte Bobcats and represent the Jamaican National Team at the FIBA Americas Championship tournament in Venezuela.

Now by signing in Greece, the world tour continues for Ewing who split the 2012-13 season between Blancos de Rueda Valladolid In Spain’s famed ACB League and Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany’s BEKO BBL.

With Bonn, Ewing averaged 11.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, shot 55% FG, 85% FT, in 20 minutes per game in 12 BBL games, while also appearing in 6 EuroChallenge games putting up 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Upon finishing the season in Spain with Valladolid, Ewing averaged 4.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in a limited role (9.7 minutes per game) off of the bench.

Prior to venturing abroad and playing in Europe last season, Ewing captured a Bronze Medal at the 2012 CentroBasket Tournament with the Jamaican National Team and this summer in Venezuela at the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship tournament, where he averaged 6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 6 games, with Ewing going for 17 points and 2 rebounds against Mexico and 16 points and 5 rebounds versus Venezuela.

Ewing was selected as the 43rd overall pick by the Sacramento Kings during the 2008 NBA Draft out of Georgetown, where he was named the 2007-08 Big East Sixth Man of the Year.

From 2008 to 2011, Ewing spent time in the NBA with the New York Knicks and New Orleans Hornets, and in the NBA D-League playing for the Reno Bighorns, Iowa Energy and Sioux Falls Skyforce, where Ewing was named to the 2011 D-League All-Star Team and 2011 All-NBA D-League Third Team.
