“Braydey Hodgins is the winningest player in Boise State and Mountain West Conference history, with four Mountain West Conference Tournament Titles and two regular season titles. She has competitive greatness. She is always at her best, when her best is needed. She is the consummate team player, always willing to sacrifice self for the good of the team. She can take a charge on the defensive end, or take over a game on the offensive end. Her team almost always wins.”- Gordy Presnell, Head Coach - Boise State University
An unselfish, team first player, Braydey earned multiple awards during a playing career highlighted by playing whatever role she was asked in order for the team to succeed. She has a great handle going either way, knocks down pull up jumpers, gets to the rim and finishes with contact. An undervalued part of her game may be her ability function as a true combo guard: handling the ball in transition, setting up in the half court or using pick n roll situations to attack the basket or create scoring opportunities for teammates. Her ability to shoot also makes her an effective scorer from all three levels and her career 36% from long range forces defenses to locate her at all times.
Her approach on the defensive end is similar to offense; whatever it takes to win. A very good team defender, Braydey has great instincts, constantly putting herself in position to help a teammate, deflect passes, dive for a loose ball, or lay her body on the line to take a charge. Braydey is also versatile in terms of defending multiple positions by staying active with quick feet, active hands, and the toughness it takes to make winning plays.
