At 6'4, Leonie has the size and skill set to score from anywhere on the court.
She is a very good 1-1 player, that can post up smaller opponents or pull bigger defenders out. The German National Team standout can attack the rim or shoot the jumper. She is also a very dangerous outside threat and takes advantage of any open gap the defense gives her.
Defensively, the Small Forward uses her size and length to defend position 2-4, and is an excellent on ball and help side defender. The Small Forward is an aggressive rebounder on both ends of the floor. She is an extremely hard worker who loves to compete and has a winning mentality.
At the 2018 U18 European Championship in Udine, Leonie averaged 11.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists and led her team to the championship. She was named to the All Star Team, while being considered one of the top upcoming talents in Europe.
In the 2018-2019 season, Leonie averaged 10 points and 8 rebounds in the German DBBL, while shooting 50% from the field.
At the U19 World Championship in 2019, Leonie averaged 7 points and 9 rebounds before an injury cut her tournament short.
Leonie was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks as the 22nd selection in the 2020 WNBA Draft.
Leonie is currently leading Wasserburg at the top of the German DBBL.
