19-year old German 6’10 Forward, Philipp Herkenhoff, has decided to enter his name as an “Early-Entrant” for the 2019 NBA Draft.
The 2019 NBA Draft takes place on June 20th2019. “Early-Entry” candidates have the right to withdraw their name from the available player list until June 10th 2019.
Herkenhoff currently plays for German easyCredit Basketball-Bundesliga (BBL) team Rasta Vechta. This past weekend the versatile Forward combined for 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist in 21:26 minutes during the 104:66 home win vs. Science City Jena.
Over the 2018/19 season (28 games played so far) Herkenhoff is averaging 15:24 minutes, 5.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game, while showing his versatility by playing the Forward and Center positions for the 4thplaced team in the BBL standings, with a playoff spot already guaranteed.
For his strong role on one of the surprise teams of the 2018/19 season the ’99 born Herkenhoff has been nominated for the “Best Young Talent” Award. German National Team Head Coach, Henrik Roedl, also nominated him for one of the FIBA windows earlier this season.

Developing my game at the highest level would be a tremendous opportunity that I’d be grateful and excited to pursue,” said Herkenhoff after making the decision to enter his name in the 2019 NBA Draft.
