SCOUTING Report
Sami is a dynamic player capable of playing position 1-3. She has a nice handle which allows her to push in transition, use the pick n roll, and attack the basket to kick out or finish through contact. She has a quick release on the catch n shoot or pulling up on the bounce.
Defensively, she is an energetic, aggressive defender on the ball and in help side situations. What separates Sami from other players is her willingness to do all the things that don't show up in a box score: sprinting the floor, getting hands in passing lanes, constantly talking on D, and providing tons of energy.
At the Pre-Olympic qualifying tournament, she had a great tournament, averaging 10ppg, 4apg and 2rpg for Team Canada as they recorded 3 wins in 3 games.
In the 2019-2020 season, Sami averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists in the German DBBL for Donau-Ries .
