Lauren began her college basketball career at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she played before transferring to Winona State University to finish her college career. As a Warrior, Fech became a key starter, leading the team in minutes and contributing across the stat sheet; she averaged around 11.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in her final season and had standout performances such as a career-high 27-point game for Winona State.
At the professional level, Fech has played in Germany for the Würzburg Sharks and Baskets Oberhausen, in Australia for the Kalgoorlie Giants, and is currently in Bosia with KK Jumper for the 2025-26 season.
